Ticket News reports that Stone Temple Pilots frontman Scott Weiland has apparently scrapped plans for his November-December solo outing in favor of a 2009 itinerary. No explanation has been given in regards to the postponement, but the original 14-date trek has been replaced with the new dates on Weiland's official Web site.
The trek, which is now slated to kick off January 16 in Dallas, TX, features stops in the same cities booked for the original outing, with the addition of shows in Los Angeles, CA (February 6) and Las Vegas, NV (February 7). Venues for the updated itinerary have not been confirmed yet.
His tour was originally set to begin November 11 in Kansas City, MO, and run through a December 4 concert in San Francisco, CA. When Weiland does hit the road, he'll be supporting the follow-up to his 1998 solo debut, "12 Bar Blues," which peaked at No. 42 on the Billboard 200.
