According to Billboard Bon Jovi is planning a date in New York's Central Park this summer. In
a new interview with SportsIllustrated.com, Jon Bon Jovi -- a big
sports fan and co-owner of the Arena Football League’s Philadelphia
Soul -- says, "We always end every tour at Giants Stadium, but we're
going to do Central Park this year. That hasn't been announced yet,
[but] there you go, we're doing Central Park."
No date has been set for the show, and a Bon Jovi source tells
Billboard.com that there's "nothing confirmed. A lot of approvals have
to be gotten."
So far Bon Jovi's only announced North American shows
for the summer are the Sarnia Bayfest in Ontario on July 6 and the
Palace of Auburn Hills in suburban Detroit on July 7. The group wraps
up its current North American tour Wednesday and Thursday in Atlanta,
then kicks off the European leg on May 22 in Gelsinkirchen, Germany.

As previously reported by The Miami Herald a bomb threat forced police to evacuate the BankAtlantic Center in
Sunrise (near Fort Lauderdale, Florida) where a BON JOVI concert was
scheduled to start at 7:30 p.m. Saturday. Bomb-sniffing dogs were
brought in to search, keeping thousands of impatient fans outside the
arena until about 9:10 p.m.
When Bon Jovi came onstage shortly after 10:45 p.m., he told fans: "I
want to thank you for sticking around. It's sad but true but we now
have to be aware of our surroundings. When the call came in during
sound check, the police chief said it was serious. I want to thank the
men and women in the police department.''
Earlier, after an announcement that the concert was delayed, the concert-goers started chanting, "Let us in!''
In the meantime, concert-goers milled about outside the arena,
hoping for the best. Some played Bon Jovi music from their cellphones
and sang along.
Miami Herald news partner WFOR-CBS 4 reported that Sunrise police
received a phoned-in bomb threat from someone who said two bombs would
blow up the arena around 7:57 PM.
