Miami-based metallers BLACK TIDE have announced their upcoming European tour schedule.
The band will play throughout Europe in the month of June,
appearing at Germany’s Rock Am Ring, France’s Hellfest, Italy’s Gods of
Metal, and the UK’s Download Fest.
Black Tide’s bassist Zakk Sandler comments: “We
are totally stoked to be heading back to Europe in June for the summer
festivals. We can't even believe that we are on the bill with such
amazing bands all over the continent. From Judas Priest to Iron Maiden
and Avenged Sevenfold, we are just in complete awe. We're looking
forward to seeing another part of the world and seeing fans in Italy,
Spain, Germany, and a ton of other places. This is gonna be the best
summer ever!”
Black Tide will open the main stage at Download Fest on Friday,
June 13th. From the official Download Fest website: “Bringing even more
metal to the fold, Black Tide hail from Miami, and with an average age
of 20 years old, this year is proving to be their year. 2008 has
already been a busy year with the band performing live on Jimmy Kimmel,
and this year also marks their Download debut.”
Black Tide are touring to support their debut album, Light From
Above (Interscope), which hit streets March 18th. The band is appearing
on the inaugural Mayhem Festival tour in the US starting in July. The
tour also features SLIPKNOT, DISTURBED and DRAGONFORCE.
Black Tide will play alongside UNDEROATH and 36 CRAZYFISTS on the Hot Topic Stage.
