The Tygers of Pan Tang are back and ready to take the big cat by the scruff of the neck. They're not here to take prisoners, they're not here to relive days gone by, they're here to move forward, they're here to rock like fuck, and that's exactly what they did here at the Underworld.
This is a band that could be happily trading on past glories, and nobody would probably blame them, but they're not. This is a band that is hungary for success, and that by the huge grins that span the bands faces from practically the second they hit the stage till the moment they leave, you can't help but accept that this is also a band that are going out there to have a damn good time!
Robb Weir might be the sole original member left, but this lineup has been together now for a long time, and it shows. They're tight, they're a unit, and they play off each other flawlessly. This isn't quite the band you might think either. They've updated many of the bands classic songs, they're just that little bit heavier, that little bit more in your face, that little bit more now. But these are still classic songs, and 'Rock And Roll Man' especially leads to a huge crowd sing along, and even the designation of a new 'Rock And Roll Woman' to the lady that was going nuts on the side of the stage!
The band are gearing up for the release of their new album Animal Instinct, and if tonight is anything to go by, then we've got a band ready to make a lot of noise, be out front chatting to all comers from the minute they get off stage; we've got a band that are ready to have a lot of fun playing some ass kicking rock and roll.
