With the release of their latest album 'Paradise Lost' and then being added to Dream Theater's Chaos In Motion European Tour as the main support, Symphony X have gone a long way to backing up the claims that have been thrown around that they are one of the brightest prog metal hopefulls around, although after 5 albums, that still sounds somewhat strange.

When they take to the stage tonight at Wembley, it is to a crowd that are completely stoked to see them, they're loud, they're screaming, and Symphony X haven't even started!

Playing a set primarily based around songs on the bands critically acclaimed new album was both to be expected, and superb to see how well they transfer to a live stage, with 'Set the World on Fire' and 'Serpants Kiss' especially notable.

You don't get to this level without talent, but when Symphony X walk off stage after they're set tonight it is to thunderous, and well deserved applause. The band have a presence on stage that you have to respect, a command of the audience, and most importantly the songs to back all of that up.

Tonight they supported Dream Theater, but it really won't be long until they're hitting venues like this on their own.
