Just to make sure we're clear, it's 2008 and not 1992, because for a moment listening to the new single from London DIY rockers We Rock Like Girls Don't, it was like Donita Sparks and co were banging out Bricks Are Heavy for the first time!

In case you were confused, then yes, these DIY girls share a lot in common with the raucous, smash the shit out of the room, and god knows what else that L7 prided themselves on, and that's no mean feat. It's not just because We Rock Like Girls Don't are and all girl band as well, it's just that they have that dirty, we just recorded this in a garage and couldn't give a fuck what it sounds like feel.

With this being taken from the bands upcoming album which is due early next year, it's certainly an appetite wetter.

And for the record it actually has a nice message to it as well. "Violence is what happens when language fails". Pretty on the money I'd say.

Keep an eye on these three girls, and see what happens when the debut album drops next year.
