When you're told that the lead singer of a band, and mastermind behind that band is a “die hard fan of classic AOR/Glam/Hard Rock†you know I'm going to listen, but instantly I have questions. Is this Toto meets Bon Jovi? Motley Crue meets Jeff Scott Soto?
Well not really any of those, Sanchez has done a pretty fine job of amalgamating his influences on this record, none really take precedence over the others, they just kind of hover in the background poking their noses out every so often.
'Bad Boys' showcases the more 80's glam influences, whereas the following track on the album 'Little Bit Of Love' is a much heavier and melodic song, nods in the appropriate direction. You'll hear a Spanish influences with some very Spanish sounding guitar moments here too, and for sure that makes for an interesting listen.
Sanchez has a good voice, he needs to be to keep up with the songs he's writing, and manages to sound good throughout.
This one is well worth a listen, and if the hype is anything like the reality, I'm certainly interested in seeing these guys live.
