Title
| In Shadows Lost From The Brave |
Saint Deamon are apparently named after a fictional ghost rider, but on 'In Shadows Lost From The Brave' the talent is anything but vaporous, this album is loaded down with melodic metal goodness. You'd expect quality from the members involved in this project. Drummer Ronny Milianowicz has spent the last seven years with Dionysus, and Nobby Noberg was his bass player back then as well, while guitarist Toya Johansson has written with both Hammerfall's Joachim Cans and Uli Kirsch of Helloween fame.
What you get on this disc, is balls to the wall melodic metal, with Milianowicz pounding the drums like a demon possessed, while there are certainly a large amount of power metal overtones here as well. Have a listen to the albums title track and tell me that that it isn't hugely influenced by Helloween circa Keeper of the Seven Keys, especially on the chorus, and perhaps that shouldn't surprise anyone really, what with that voice belonging to longtime power metal vocalist Jan Thore Grefstad.
If you like driving drums, you like power metal influences, and you like music that's full of soul and atmosphere, then this is so a good album for you to pick up.
Lineup:
