Title

Love And Paranoia
'Love and Paranoia' marks the sixth studio album for Australian electro rockers Regurgitator, and with track titles like 'Blood and Spunk' and 'Drinking Beer Is Awesome' it was with much anticipation that I fired this one up for the first time.

The best thing is, when I put the disc in the player for the first time, it actually lived up to what I was expecting, which is pretty awesome in itself. So back to drinking beer... This is by far the highlight of the album as far as I'm concerned, and the as the albums second track really sets this one up as an album your going to enjoy. In so many ways it brings instant similarities to the legendary They Might Be Giants, not entirely musical, but certainly in the ironic stakes.

The band claim that the bands name was "an appropriate moniker to describe the group's assembled mass of styles, sounds and attitudes,, fueld as much by their unmitigated irony and geek nature as their irreverent take on themselves, corporate culture and human social behavior"

It's a really good conclusion as it happens. The album jumps all over the place with varying swoops and glides while the band continue to examine topics with an eye of social commentary, a knowing smile, and a gleam in their eye.

But yeah, 'Drinking Beer Is Awesome'...
