Bremen's President Evil are back with the followup to their acclaimed debut album, and have brought with them a heavy does of trashy rock n roll, well they would really what with that debut album being 'The Trash 'N Roll Asshole Show' wouldn't they?So what have we go here? Well, if you like filthy punk tinged rock n roll in the vein of Hardcore Supestar but with a metal edge, then your going to be digging this album like there's no tomorrow. Perhaps unsurprisingly, listening to this album brings the impression of Ministry to mind, especially on the drum work from Diamond Dennis, with the band having toured with both Ministry and Fear Factory during 2006, it would seem that some of that industrial metal edge has rubbed off.
That could have destroyed the sound of the band, but luckily it hasn't, it's just enhanced it. Certainly the album has a much more metal edge to it than you might have expected, but it's still filthy rock n roll. Not convinced? Check out the albums title track, and you'll be convinced.
The real highlight of the album is King Asshole. Filthy, nasty, with guitars that just make you want grab that girl that's grinding on your leg.
Lineup:
Diamond Dennis - Drums
James Lars - Guitar
Ace Renner - Guitar
Johnny Holze - Vocals
Godspeed Topf - Bass
