Front man Charly Steinhauer must have brass balls.

After dealing with numerous lineup changes, the death of 3 family members and beating a near life threatening intestinal problem - enough to keep anyone out of the studio for 8 years - he returns with an album that made me open my ears and take notice of a genre I am not overly familliar with.

Fantastically well received first album "Product Of Imagination" had the German press drawing comparisons with early Metallica, and listening to the powerhouse riffs that underpin "Electrify" it's easy to see why as on many ocasions I was reminded of "Motorbreath" from the album "Kill Em All".

The Current lineup of Charly Steinhauer (Guitar / Vocals) , Kai Pasemann (Guitar) , Olly Keller (Bass) and Roland Jahoda (Drums) have produced a well crafted album that drives along at breakneck pace.

While it can occasionally sound a little cluttered, "Electrify" is nicely punctuated with some exciting changes, atmospheric intros and bridge sections which almost succeed in giving a sense of the epic.

Very heavy. If you liked Iced Earth's "Framing Armageddon" then I'm sure you will appreciate this.

While not being upto that all time classic, "Electrify" certainly deserves a place in your collection.
