Break The Silence (Limited Edition Digipak)
So your looking for a rock and roll band with attitude? That are going to kick your ass? That are actually good? Well step on up, as McQueen have just reissued their debut album 'Break the Silence' in a special digipak with the bonus track 'Life Support ICU' and the videos for both 'Running Out Of Things To Say' and 'The Line Went Dead'.
Your going to find it quite hard to categorise McQueen into any genre, they're straddling the punk/rock/metal styles, drawing influence from all 3, and in different quantities from song to song, which certainly helps keep the band fresh throughout the album, which without a doubt is unrelenting in it's aural assault. Vocalist Leah Doors sings with a sincerity that convinces you of what she's saying, listen to 'Running out of things to say' and tell me she hasn't been there.
Musically these four girls are top notch, and if you like your rock with an edge this might well be for you, and if you haven't got the album in it's original version, it's well worth grabbing it now. The videos are great, 'The Line Went Dead' being one of the albums top tracks getting it's own (along with the previously mentioned 'Running Out Of Things To Say', although the highlight of the album for me is 'Bitch', which just is a much more balls out rock anthem, the big guitars and the driving drums that Motley Crue would be proud of.
They're not here to make friends, they're here to kick your ass. Bring it on.
