London alternative 5 peice are about to unleash their new EP 'Transluscent' on the world, the first cuts from the bands upcoming album 'Union', and having been recorded at Jimi Hendrix's Electric Lady Studios. As the EP opens with the title track, the first thing that hits you is the importance of the keyboards, which is kind of strange, as most of the time you can't really here them, they're that nicely blended into the whole mix, although by the time we reach the EP's second track 'No Name' they're much more evident, and help to give the band the sound of a more rockier Mesh, and all to the good on that regard, and certainly would draw favourable comparisons to the legends of UK electro rock that are Muse.

This is high quality stuff boys and girls, and while certainly not at the level of Muse, this EP certainly gives us clues to suggest that they have the potential to climb to those vertigo inducing heights. As with Muse, you can see a career path outlined in the distant that will see Intervurt become heavier as time goes on, and if the upcoming album is half as good as what's on display here, there's gonna be many a happy rocker out there.

Give this one a try, it's really worth it!
