It's punk Jim. That's kinda where it starts really isn't it? Guns On The Roof compare themselves to Sex Pistols meets Green Day (well a whole lot more as well, but that's the general gist... old punk meets new pop punk), and to be honest it's not half bad.
How accurate that actually is I wouldn't like to say. It certainly has much more in common with more modern punk bands like Green Day or Rancid, but then who am I to judge... Oh wait!
Last Orders as a single is pretty good, but the highlight is actually the tribute to the star character in the Halloween movies, Michael Myers, the final track on here. Gotta love a band that write a song about a character in a movie, a serial killer at that, and then make you want to bounce around the room to it!
They might be young, but this bodes well for the future for these nineteensomething year olds from Leeds.
