Title
Bitter & Twisted

The term super group seems to have slowly vanished from the music vocabulary over the years, it was huge in the Eighties and Nineties, but you could be forgiven for thinking it's gone the way of the dodo. Well no more, for with out a doubt it's back in full force right here on the debut release from G.M.T., that's Guy, McCoy and Torme to you and me.

Dedicated follows of hard rock will no doubt instantly recognise the names, as both Bernie Torme and John McCoy were members of the Gillan Band in the early Eighties, Bernie Torme even being recently declared a Guitar God by Metal Hammer magazine, something he found amusing to say the least when asked about it by Komodo Rock's Krissy Elliott at the Hard Rock Hell Festival. Lest we not forget, Robin Guy is probably one of the hardest working drummers in the UK, having played with everyone who is anyone, or at least that's sometimes how it seems...

So what have we got when we fire 'Bitter and Twisted' up? Well you get exactly what you would expect, and then you get some more. Your not going to hear any genre defining moments, no reinventing the wheel, your going to get proper rock and roll played by real musicians, oh and a guitar god! You've got your blues rock influences in there, you've got your Hendrix influence ('Playing Down To Here' instantly springs to mind on that one), you've got your heavier moments with 'Cannonball' and you've got the highlight of the album in 'Rocky Road (From Dublin)' which defines exactly what these three guys are trying to do.

Bernie Torme isn't going to surprise you with his voice, he probably won't surprise many with his guitar, but G.M.T. should surprise everyone who hasn't heard them before with just how strong they are, just how good they are, and just how damned good they are.

The super group is back, and it's about damn time!
