Back with avengance after the success of their last single "I Don't Wanna Go To School" and in the lead up to the release of their debut album later this year, London rockers Drugdealer Cheerleader are back with a satire laden ode to ex-girlfriends the world over, as they tell us quite litterally how they'd like "X E Cute My X" their cute ex.

While much of what has been heard live of the songs on the bands debut album are much heavier, "X E Cute My X" is much poppier, bouncier, and tongue firmly planted in cheek, and just listening to it, you can tell it'll be a live favorite complete with people pogo'ing around the stage like energizer bunnies.

It's got big hooks, a big sing a long chorus, and the traditional guitar solo. What more can you ask for?

The b-side could be said to be a homage to where the band feel they're going, and perhaps a sly dirty look, middle finger firmly in the air, aimed at people who have been less than complimentary to them over the years. "Happening Now" it certainly is, and with the launch of the full album, and the tour that's promised to follow, DDCL are breaking away from the small scale cliqueness and walking their own path.

The harder edge to some of the bands other material lets the single down somewhat, but hopefully taken in context with the full album, it'll just show a band with a much larger range, exploring different influences.
