Title

Enjoy The Time You Waste

Label

Pebble Beach
Sometimes you want a rocking album to throw on the stereo, you love your Motley Crue, you have every Poison album, and still there's something lacking. Please enter stage right Drugdealer Cheerleader. No doubt you've encountered London's finest on some of their travels, or heard the two singles that preceded the release of the album ('I Don't Wanna Go To School' and 'X E Cute My X', the latter making an appearance on this disc). If not, well get listening. DDCL are not going to blow your mind with the dirtiest sleaziest rock n roll you've ever heard, no, they'll do more than that, they're going to blow your mind with the fact that they play good solid rock n roll, nothing more nothing less. Simple? Sounds it, but then how many bands fall flat on their face trying to do just that. It's true that the album has some lighter, more pop rock moments, 'X E Cute My X' being the obvious example, but what you get with that is a band having a laugh, you know, it really is ok to write a light hearted song right? No? Oh ok, you probably want to skip the satirical look at Myspace that is 'LMFAO' then, which as it happens, is so on the mark that it's funny.

'Enjoy The Time You Waste' isn't all about light hearted pop rock, no, fire up 'The Guv'nor' and listen to 'Ms Lapish' and you'll be treated to an ass kicking that you'll enjoy, complete with full on arenafied guitar solos!

There's so much cross over appeal here that it's hard to even say that it's a rock album, play this to Bowling For Soup fans and they're likely going to dig this, but so will Poison and Warrant fans. Cunning marketing ploy or a band that just draw on what they like, and give their fans what they think they deserve? Listen to 'Take It To The Edge' and you'll be told 'All Glammed Up We Salute The Masses, We Give Thanks To The Rock N Roll Fans'. Says it all really.

So for the final description... let's call DDCL.... Bowling For Poisoned Cherry Pie, pint in hand!

Hilda - Vocals
