When you mention the words Progressive and Metal today, the first names into your head are likely to be Dream Theater, Queensryche, Symphony X, and possibly Kamelot. Quite rightly too, for they are all great bands, but with 4 albums under their belt and with the release of their new album '5th Season' Munich's Dreamscape might be etching their name on that elite list of bands.

'5th Season' might not be as heavy as other albums, it might not have an epic concept behind the album, but what this album does is prove yet again that Prog Metal can be accessible without sacrificing quality. Throw this album in your cd player, sit back and your going to be taken for a ride through a rippling cosmos, full of melody and large instrumental interludes, but interludes that seem to be 'right' for the music rather than expression of 'Oh look what we can do!'

That's where the beauty of this album lies, it's easy to listen to, it doesn't sound like it's trying to be exclusive, it just sounds good.

Take a chance on this album if you've never listened to Dreamscape before. Yes this is prog metal, and yes it does have heavy guitars, but they're there for a reason, this isn't just heavy for the sake of it. Listen to it, and chances are your going to find something on here your going to like.
