The album sounds great, as you would expect from anyone coming out of the Swedish glam scene, they take pride it would seem in their production, but sounding great is only half the battle, the songs still need to be up to standard for that to make any difference at all.

Thankfully I'm able to state happily that the songs are superb. What's really good about Crazy Lixx is that they're not following the seemingly traditional route out of Sweden with a more heavy punky edge to their sound, this is has a much more hair metal feel to it, and that floats my boat quite happily. That's not to say that it's poppy, this disc rocks like a fox in a hen house, but it's not gonna hit you like Hardcore Superstar or Crashdiet, and that's great (no matter how much I love those bands), probably the heaviest most punky sounding track on the album is 'Do Or Die' which was originally released on the self titled EP.

Simply put, if these guys continue to improve, and there's a noticeable improvement over the previously mentioned EP, then they could well be on the road to great things. DC Danny can sing, and sing he does, especially on what I feel is the highlight of the album 'Heroes Are Forever', you've got your guitar solos, everything just works.

You might not have encountered these boys before, but you will do soon, so get on this roller coaster ride at the ground floor, and ride this one all the way down. Do or Die? Sounds about right to me!
