Working Men Live
Ok, I've been asked to do a review of the new Rush - Working Men cd. It's basically is a best of live.

All the songs on offer are indeed some of Rush's best live works but come on....

If you are a Rush fan then surely you will have the live albums that these come from. Rush is a band that you have to get their live albums. They are one of the best live bands out there and they put on an amazing show.

What we are offered here though has been done to death and the only reason I can see for the release is to rake in some money for the big wigs at the record company. We have 4 tracks from the quite brilliant Snakes and Arrows live (the bluray is on my Christmas list to Santa), 4 tracks from R30 and 3 tracks from Rush in Rio.

The record company have also cheekily put on a new live track. "One Little Victory" is the only unreleased track on offer here.

Not quite enough to entice me to part with my cash.

In conclusion. If you don't have any Rush live albums then buy the 3 complete live cd's. If you have them already then this is a complete waste of time. I do like the cover artwork though.

Geddy Lee - vocals, bass, keyboards
Alex Lifeson - guitar, vocals
Neil Peart - drums, percussion
