Switchblade Suicide have announced the addition of drummer Barry 'Quick' Silver to their ranks.

Commenting the band who have spent the last few months writting material for a forthcoming release said "Switchblade Suicide has spent the past few months writing and getting back into the studio, and as exciting as that's been, the band is even more excited to officially announce that Barry "Quick" Silver has joined Switchblade as their killer new drummer. So please join the band in welcoming him to The Blade. Barry brings the group's music to a whole new level and they can't wait to share it with audiences everywhere."

Switchblade Suicide released their debut EP last year, and it's currently available through CDBaby.

A press release commented on the EP "The bastard child of hard rock and heavy metal. It devours the riffs of the 70s, the driving power of the 80s, and the angst of the 90s and spits out the next incarnation of raw, ass-kicking rock 'n' roll. It refuses to imitate. It’s uncompromising, unapologetic and unbridled. And it's 100% Switchblade Suicide."
