styx-tommyshaw.jpgPR-Inside reports that STYX rocker TOMMY SHAW is going green for his upcoming SHAW/BLADES North American tour - it will be powered by biodiesel.

The environmentally aware star will hit the road with eco-friendly solutions provider BidForGreen, who have helped provide fuel transport on Willie Nelson, Pat Matheny and Merle Haggard's tours.

Shaw, the guitarist and singer for Styx, wrote a blog for BidForGreen highlighting his interest in the company's services.

He wrote, "BidForGreen is doing what needed to be done, creating a data base of fuel suppliers and setting up accounts so that it has been made even easier for us to use biodiesel than to spend the time fueling (sic) up in the stinky line at the truck stop, something we've all accepted as part of traveling (sic) by tour bus."

The Shaw/Blades tour, which features Shaw's former Damn Yankees bandmate Jack Blades, kicked off in Annapolis, Maryland on Monday night (26Nov07).
