Leg's Diamond keyboard and guitar player Michael Prince has released the following comments on the recent death of Quiet Riot frontman Kevin DuBrow:
"It's always a sad day when someone you've known and liked for over 30
years passes on. Around 1976 we shared a rehearsal room with Quiet Riot
for several years. It was on the old Columbia Pictures lot in
Hollywood. The place had been turned into many large and small
rehearsal studios. Our room had two stages, facing each other, and we
shared it and the time there with Kevin, Randy, Drew and Rudy.
"We were always coming when they were going or visa versa - good times!!
"I
saw Kevin in my studio last year with Frankie and they were working on
some new tunes. Kevin's voice sounded better than ever!
"We talked for a while about the good old days and about doing some
shows together in Vegas where he was living. Kevin, RIP brother!! You
will be missed."According to The Associated Press, a neighbor
summoned police and paramedics Sunday (November 25) to the Las Vegas
home where the 52-year-old Dubrow was pronounced dead at 5:20 p.m.,
police and coroner's officials said.
There was no forced entry at the house, and no suspicious circumstances were reported, police Officer Jose Montoya said.
The cause and manner of death were not immediately known, pending an
autopsy and toxicology results, Clark County coroner's spokeswoman
Samantha Charles said.
