Pittsburgh based rockers The Cosmosonics have checked in with a new update for their latest studio recording session.

The band reports that "Day 4 in the studio wrapped up all of the tracking; now we're on to mixing. Actually, there's always some shit you didn't hear at the studio, but once you get home, it needs a-fixin. So there will be a Day 4 1/2 sometime soon.

"It's very cool to hear the songs taking shape; Powderkeg is gotta be the most energetic thing we've written, while Get Tight will tear an eye out with it's sharp hooks. Can't wait till it's in your dirty little fingers...

"Baltimore...we played two gigs there in one weekend; this was a good time. The Sidebar in downtown B-More hosted friday's show; saw some friends from Philly, of all places, & got to hang with the boys from Motorocket & Filthy Rotten Sex Machine. The Sidebar feels like home.

"Saturday's show was billed as 'Glamfest' -- not sure what the definition of 'glam' is in 2008, but the bands were excellent. Dancing girls, killer stage & lights, available porn at the C-Sonics merch booth, 90+ degree heat (even at midnight), plus a 2:30 AM mad dash back to Pittsburgh so Gary could make the Motley show made this show unique. Plus, Ang learned at dinner that a crab was a small crustacean that comes from the sea...go figure! The bands...our boys from DC, the Saviours, we're killer as always, Kill Kill Kill from Canadia were really fucking cool, can't wait to jam with them again, Dean Cramer's So Low played some ripping guitar, & All For Nothing closed the night with some killer new stuff. (thanks to Joe for setting this shindig up!)

"Coming up...a roadtrip up to jolly ole Cleveland, to play at a killer venue called the Roc Bar, then a trip home to play at Excuse's on the southside. However, the local rock show of the year is coming up....EARTH.SOUL.ROCK'N'ROLL. a celebration & showcase of Pittsburgh's underground rock, is set for Friday Sept 26 @ the Rex Theatre, southside. 7 bands that you will fall madly in lust with after seeing them in such a killer venue; DON'T MISS IT !!!
