Lillian Axe have released the following press release from hard rockers Lillian Axe.
On Sunday, August 31st at 12:30 PM, LILLIAN AXE hit the stage in 100
degree plus Texas heat, to perform for close to 3000 screaming Lillian
Axe fans from all over the United States, that came out early to see
the boys rock hard and show their support for the most underrated band
in the history of music. Lillian Axe has such a diehard fan base that
always shows the guys a little, but in this case, a lot of love.
Lillian Axe treated the fans to 44 minutes and 57 seconds of pure
Lillian Axe.
The band performed their hit classics, 'Show A Little Love' and 'True
Believer' along with the fan favourites, 'Misery Loves Company,' 'Ghost
Of Winter', 'All's Fair in Love And War', 'Deep Freeze', 'Crucified',
plus 'Waters Rising' and 'Antarctica' of their latest release Waters
Rising. Steve Blaze, battling the heat, blistered the fans with his
interpretation of the "National Anthem." The fans went crazy. We salute
all the Lillian Axe fans that came out early to show their support.
Lillian Axe thank you from the bottom of their hearts.
Aside from their performance, Lillian Axe, were favourites of the
press on Saturday and Sunday. A few special events that took place
were: Steve Blaze being interviewed by close friend Kevin Kash (Lillian
Axe catalog CDs are on the way!) on the Boneyard for XM Radio, Steve
and Derrick being interviewed by Ralph Sutton for the Tour Bus, the
entire Lillian Axe band being interviewed by KWTF, Steve, Derrick and
Ken being interviewed by Rocknation Magazine and cable TV show plus a
whole host of others. Special thanks to Laureen Lucas at FKM Agency for
all the interview opportunities prior to the Rock The Bayou event and
during the festival. You rock!!!
Lillian Axe, were at the event on Saturday and Sunday, enjoying the
shows and meeting their fans, signing autographs and taking lots of
photos. The fan response to the band was great. The amount of times
they heard praise from the fans cannot be counted. We cannot do it
without the fans. They are our life blood.
Lillian Axe, have now begun to lay the ground work for their grass
roots campaign for their upcoming new CD, tentatively entitled, A Sad
Day On Planet Earth, by releasing the title of their new album to the
press at Rock The Bayou. Lillian Axe will be doing a short tour at the
end of September and October to "road test" some new songs before
locking themselves up in the studio to create the new Lillian Axe album
for release in early 2009, to be followed by a full blown world tour,
