Finnish Battle Metal pioneers Turisas opened proceedings on the Metal Hammer sponsored Porshamar Arena stage at the Hard Rock Hell Festival on Saturday Night (Nov 11th).
Live photos from the bands set can be viewed below.
Turisas' appearance at the Hard Rock Hell festival came at the conclusion of the bands European Tour with Iced Earth (who are now touring the UK as part of Heaven and Hell's UK Tour), and Violin player Vänskä commented on the tour:
"The other bands and the audience have been really cool, and we're having a great time on road. I'm really looking forward to the upcoming shows, as there are many countries we've never played in before. Some of you might also have noticed that Lisko is not with us on this tour. The thing is he decided to disappear in a very Lisko-esque manner - no phone calls, no email, nothing - just a few days before the tour, and we had to get a step-in accordionist in a really short period of time. We were lucky and managed to get one of the best ones out there: her name is Netta Skog and she is doing fine job, so everybody give her a big cheer."
