WASP frontman Blackie Lawless has issued an explaination or the bands cancellation of concerts set for Portugal and Spain, confirming that they were both for "logistical and communication problems".
The dates were supposed to take place on July 25th in Lorca and July 26th in Bilboa.
Lawless said "W.A.S.P. regret to announce that because of logistical and
communication problems, the upcoming shows scheduled for Spain on July
25th in Lorca and Bilboa on the 26th have been cancelled. Originally,
W.A.S.P. was scheduled to perform on July 26th in Portugal at the Lagoa
Festival. An announcement was made by the festival that W.A.S.P. as
well as other bands pulled out of the show without giving a reason...
this is not true!
The fans in both Spain and Portugal have supported W.A.S.P. from
the beginning and we love you! We will return to play for both soon!"
WASP are now left with just four dates left in Europe, including two full performances of the Crimson Idol complete with video footage (Oulu and Tampere).
The bands full schedule stands at:
July
29 - Turku Festival - Turku, Finland
31 - Pakkahuone - Tampere, Finland
August
1 - Teatria - Oulu, Finland
2 - Annka Rock Festival - Finland
