Alter Bridge To Play Australia For The First Time Print E-mail

alterbridge.jpgRock band, Alter Bridge, go on stage for the first time in Australia tonight, at Metro City, Perth, Western Australia.

Their tour takes them to 5 more venues in Australia after tonight, and then 3 in New Zealand, with the UK and Europe as their next ports of call. Their closing gig is at the Alcatraz in Milan, Italy on 29
November 2008 where it is hoped they will be joined by Italian rock godess, Cristina Scabbia (of Italian rock band, Lacuna Coil), with whom Alter Bridge recorded a duet called "Watch Over You" earlier this year.

About Alter Bridge

Alter Bridge is an American alternative metal[/post-grunge band from Orlando, Florida, but based in Atlanta, Georgia. Formed by Mark Tremonti (lead guitar, vocals), Brian Marshall (bass) and Scott Phillips (drums), all former members of Creed, with Myles Kennedy (lead vocals, rhythm guitar), formerly of The Mayfield Four. The band's second album, "Blackbird", released October 2007, hit the charts at position 13, and their 2005 track "Shed My Skin" was used in the soundtrack of the movie, "Fantastic 4". Mark Tremonti, the band's guitarist, is a Grammy Award winner.
