Z Records have announced that on November 8th they will be unveiling a new take on the Battle of the Bands concept with the launch of their Z Rock Talent 08.
The label have said that they hope the event "will develop the UK's live scene and help unsigned bands get their music heard."
Z Rock Talent 08 will be held a the Limelight Club in Crewe, with the main prize to be an opening spot on the labels annual festival Z Rock in 2009, although the label also hints that there will be the possibility of a recording contract on the line as well.
The contest will be judged by a panel consisting of Record Label Representatives, Radio DJ's and Journalists, with the hope "of finding the next inspiring rock act", and will cover the AOR, Melodic Rock, Progressive and Melodic Metal genres.
