UK prog rockers The Prophercy have announced that they are currently back in the studio working on the followup to the bands last album, 2006's Revelations.
The band revealed that "Recording is taking place at Priory Studios in Sutton Colefields and is
being produced and engineered by Greg Chandler of ESOTERIC fame.
The album consists of eight tracks and promises to be the heaviest and
most technical album the band have produced so far (and of course with
a heavy dose of emotional soundscapes, deep rooted conviction and
immense riffage the band are renowned for).
The album's realease date has not yet been finalized as artwork is
still in progress with Gary Griffith's (MORGION) handling the
production of the CD package. However comments from Gary suggest the
cover will be going for the epic visual surreal look as ith the
previous two albums ashes and revelations.
Songs from the demo to Into The Light can be heard on the bands MySpace
with a studio report to be added soon. The band are also to be
interviewed by Ragnarok Radio station regarding the making of the new
album.
The band have also made available some live footage from the April
2008 tour on their Last FM site and will be producing a studio report
to be published on the MySpace and website.
In the meantime The Prophecy's previous releases are available
from all good record stores through phd/prosonic distribution, CDbaby.
net, Amazon and from the band directly at www. the-prophecy. net .
In preparation for the album's release the band are still on the look out for some street team help.
The band still have 30,000 flyers to distribute so anyone that can
drop a few in their local metal venue or CD shop or to passing
mettellers please get in touch and we'll throw in some Prophecy
goodies."
