WENN reports that rocker BILLY CORGAN is suing a filmmaker after claiming his work was not up to scratch.

The Smashing Pumpkins frontman hired Lester Cohn to document his recording sessions and live performances.

But in a lawsuit filed in Lake County in Chicago, Illinois last week (beg 21Jul08), Corgan allegedly accuses Cohn of producing sub-standard work and alleges he demanded more money before handing over the video footage.

Corgan is also seeking $100,000 (£50,000) in damages, according to The Chicago Tribune newspaper.

The lawsuit is said to claim Cohn, of Pure DV Productions, carried out work that was "completely unsatisfactory and not completed in a professional, workman-like manner in accordance with the standards of a music filmmaker".
