The Daily Mail reports a schoolboy busker is so good at the guitar he is earning an astonishing £70 an hour in his summer holidays.
Real-life guitar hero Calvin Prior, 13, has already made £2,000 in the few weeks he has been playing rock riffs in public.
The
teenager, dubbed Mini Hendrix, pockets up to £350 a day and regularly
attracts hundreds of people to his street gigs in sedate Eastbourne,
East Sussex.
He has bought a top-of-the range electric guitar with his earnings
and now hopes to buy a £1,100 amplifier set by the time the school
summer holidays are over.
Calvin said: 'I could have taken a summer job to earn extra pocket money but I can earning a lot more doing what I love.
'I
first started busking a couple of months ago at weekends. I wasn't sure
how people would react to my music but they put money in my case when
they walked past.
'Then after a few more times more and more
people stopped and started to crowd round me. I realised that if you
play stuff that they know and like they put more money in. Somebody
gave me a £20 note once.
'I started busking because I enjoy playing, but I've already bought a £2,000 PRS Custom 24 guitar from it.
'I want to earn £1,100 by the end of the summer for a new amp set.'
