 RAGE guitarist Victor Smolski has checked in with the following update on his official website:
"Victor has finished the recordings for the new MIND ODYSSEY album
in the Yellow Prison studio (Berlin) in cooperation with Mario Le Mole
and Dan Udhen (PANDEA; Ex-Mind Odyssey) at the mixing console. The new
CD is an absolutely interesting development of a progressive style with
a new sound. The release date by Napalm Records isn't fixed so far.
During the last Rage tour in Japan, Victor recorded a workshop - DVD
for the famous Japanese musicians magazine Young Guitar in the
musicians institute in Tokyo, after the readers have chosen him to be
the 'next guitar hero'. The workshop material will be released in the
next three months, including an interview as well as a couple of tunes
and notes / TABs.
On Thursday, July 31st, Victor rocked a solo show at the Wacken
Open Air in the Metal Market. The show and the following interview have
been recorded for the Wacken 2008 DVD. Rage can be also founded on the
Wacken 2007 DVD.
After the music fair in Frankfurt 2007, Victor's going to play a
gig with Billy Sheehan (ex-MR. BIG, TALAS) once again. The show will
take place on September 4th in Vienna.
Looking for even more speed, Victor thinks about getting a pilot license!"
