Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich has applauded the band's British fans – describing them as some of the most vocal in the world reports Gigwise.

Ulrich told Rolling Stone that the UK audience's brought a similar passion to gigs which is normally found in football stadiums.

"In England they sing along to everything. Whether it's football, Metallica or a political rally, the British always make noise,” he said.

Metallica played their only scheduled UK show in London earlier this month.
