Led Zeppelin Win GQ Outstanding Achievement Award Print E-mail

led_zeppelin.jpgThe BBC reports that Led Zeppelin have won an outstanding achievement prize at the GQ Men of the Year Awards, while producer Mark Ronson was named top maverick.

Crooner Tony Bennett took an award for being an "inspiration", and Primal Scream were judged band of the year.

The radio personality title went to BBC Radio 2's Chris Evans, with Gavin and Stacey star James Corden winning the prize for breakthrough talent.

Steve Coogan was actor of the year and James Nesbitt was named best TV star.

The event, in London, was hosted by musicians Sir Elton John and Lily Allen.

Allen drank wine throughout the ceremony, something which Sir Elton picked up on when the pair were chatting on stage.

"Now we reach a very special point in the evening," Allen said at one point.

Sir Elton interrupted by asking: "What, are you going to have another drink?"
