Into Eternity and the Headbangers Ball Blog have teamed up to bring you
an exclusive week long look into the riveting new conceptual opus, The
Incurable Tragedy. Click here now to stream the album in its entirety.
The idea to write and record an album that explores the effects of
cancer was culled from the passing of guitarist Tim Roth’s best
friends, brothers Dave and Danny Stephenson. The two passed away within
two months of each other, both from cancer. To make matters worse, when
the band began demoing new material shortly after the completion of the
Scattering of Ashes tour, Roth's father was diagnosed with cancer as
well. The Incurable Tragedy is not only a tribute to the lives of these
three people but to those before and after them who suffer through this
disease, either personally or through loved ones. Additionally, the
Stephenson family, Roth and others have helped contribute to Band of
Brothers, Inc., a non-profit organization committed to raising funds to
assist families with costs associated with recovering from cancer. More
details can be found here.
The Incurable Tragedy is the first Into Eternity album to feature
Justin Bender (guitars) and Steve Bolognese (drums), who came aboard
shortly after the group finished Gigantour ‘06. The album can be
pre-ordered now for $10 at http://www.cmdistro.com.
