Hendrix Sex Tape Branded A Fake Print E-mail
Friday, 02 May 2008

jimmy_hendrix.gifWENN reports that a vintage sex tape purported to feature late guitar great JIMI HENDRIX has been branded a fake by the company which owns the copyright to his music.

The 40-year-old footage was unearthed by an unnamed collector who passed the saucy film - which features a head-banded Hendrix frolicking with two brunettes - to the bosses of porn video giant Vivid Entertainment.

But Experience Hendrix - the company which owns the deceased rocker's back catalogue - claims the footage is not real and is nothing more than a publicity stunt.

The company released a statement on Thursday (01May08) saying, "We strongly dispute the claimed authenticity of the tape.

"We view the release as nothing more than a callous attempt to trade on the image and reputation of a deceased artist who is unable to defend himself against such an outrageous and baseless assertion." But the porn giant insists the tape is the "real thing" and will carry out its plans to release the film on Tuesday (06May08).
