guns_n_roses_axl_rose1.gifGuns N' Roses have issued an official response to the arrest of the Kevin Cogill for the leak of tracks from the bands long awaited album 'Chinese Democracy' earlier this year.

The band said that "Presently, though we don't support this guy's actions at that level, our interest is in the original source."

The band also noted that because the investigation is currently ongoing they "can't comment publicly at this time"

Cogill was released on bail yesterday.

Prosecutors said the leaks could lead to "significant" financial loss for the rock band.

Mr Cogill is due to appear in court again on 17 September.

No restrictions on his internet use were imposed during the court hearing, which resulted in his release on bail of $10,000 (£5,450).

According to arrest papers, Mr Cogill admitted to having posted the songs, which were later removed from his website Antiquiet following intervention from the band.
