brucespringsteen.jpgPR-Inside reports PAUL WELLER, BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN and RADIOHEAD will go head-to-head for the Uncut Music Award in Britain.

The artists will battle it out against other acts including 2008 Mercury Prize award winners Elbow, PJ Harvey and Robert Plant & Alison Krauss for the Best Album honour.

The annual accolade, handed out by respected U.K. music and film magazine Uncut, honours "the most inspiring and richly rewarding album".

Judging the musical offerings will be luminaries including singer-songwriter Edwyn Collins and New Order bassist Peter Hook.

A current list of 25 albums will be shortened to eight in the coming weeks before the winner is announced in November (08).
