alicecooper_1107.jpgAccording to Gigwise.com, veteran rock star Alice Cooper has slammed the makers of reality TV shows like X-Factor for not searching for rock bands.

Cooper said shows like American Idol were only looking for artists that were “totally disposable”.

"They aren't looking for rock bands, they're looking for people who are going to end up with shows in Vegas,” he told People.

"Bands from the '60s and '70s still have hits being played on the radio, like THE ROLLING STONES, BLACK SABBATH and us.

“But I don't think many of today's will because music's becoming totally disposable."

What do you think about Cooper's comments? Should reality shows look for bands? Leave a comment and let Gigwise know.
